Institutional Effectiveness

The pilot planning phase for the space-use technologies project is complete. This pilot aims to explore how UCLA can enhance data environments, accurately evaluate occupancy at scale, optimize energy demand management and enable data-driven decisions regarding space utilization.

UCLA Administration develops courses for the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certificate workshop, part of the Continuous Process Improvement learning pathway.

The Occupancy Space pilot program, which will inform initiatives related to campus space management, enters its planning phase. The project team has researched and identified vendors for equipment, identified campus buildings for the occupancy analysis pilot, engaged with ITS on network support and determined a funding source for the pilot.

UCLA Effectiveness Advisory & Governance develops an Institutional Effectiveness Metrics report that highlights the current state of performance metrics, the need for an improved framework for measuring success, guidelines for aligning performance metrics to the overall mission, and recommendations for institutional metrics based on data gathered internally and through benchmarking activities.

UCLA Administration launches three Continuous Process Improvement projects related to Facilities Management: Service request ticketing process consolidation, material management reorganization and energy conservation.
